Bizenko – Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
Financial Year: 2026-2027
1. Introduction
Bizenko is committed to conducting all aspects of its business ethically, responsibly, and with integrity. We recognise our responsibility to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within our operations and supply chains. This statement is made pursuant to Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, which requires commercial organisations supplying goods or services and meeting the statutory turnover threshold to publish an annual slavery and human trafficking statement .
2. Our Organisation and Structure
Bizenko is a UK-based provider of consultancy and training services. We operate from headquarters in Yorkshire, and from other premises delivering workshops across the North of England. We work with a range of suppliers, partners, and contractors to deliver our services. Our supply chains mostly include technology providers and professional services.
3. Our Commitment
We have zero tolerance for modern slavery, forced labour, or human trafficking in any part of our business or supply chains. We expect the same high standards from all suppliers, contractors, and business partners.
4. Policies Relating to Modern Slavery
To support our commitment, Bizenko maintains the following policies:
- Anti‑Slavery and Human Trafficking Policy
- Supplier Code of Conduct
- Whistleblowing Policy
- Recruitment and Right‑to‑Work Policy
These policies outline our expectations, reporting mechanisms, and the standards required of all individuals and organisations working with us.
5. Due Diligence Processes
We undertake due diligence to identify and mitigate risks of modern slavery, including:
- Assessing new suppliers for ethical and labour‑related risks
- Requiring contractual commitments to comply with the Modern Slavery Act
- Conducting periodic reviews of existing suppliers
- Ensuring recruitment processes prevent exploitation and verify right‑to‑work documentation
6. Risk Assessment and Management
We regularly review areas of our business and supply chains where there may be a heightened risk of modern slavery. Where risks are identified, we take proportionate steps to investigate, mitigate, and monitor them. This includes prioritising suppliers in higher‑risk sectors or geographies for enhanced checks.
7. Measuring Effectiveness
To evaluate our progress, we monitor:
- Supplier compliance with our policies
- Completion rates of staff training
- Reports or concerns raised through internal channels
- Outcomes of supplier audits or assessments
We use these indicators to strengthen our approach year‑on‑year.
8. Training and Awareness
We provide training to employees—particularly those involved in procurement, recruitment, and supplier management—to ensure they understand:
- How to identify signs of modern slavery
- How to report concerns
- Their responsibilities under the Modern Slavery Act
9. Future Actions
Over the next financial year, Bizenko intends to:
- Expand supplier risk assessments
- Enhance training programmes
- Strengthen contractual requirements relating to labour standards
- Improve monitoring and reporting mechanisms
